The new feature associates a unique code (eBay:XYZ1234) with each order at checkout, so when sellers print postage labels off-platform on eligible Royal Mail or Australia Post shipping systems, the carrier can pick up the unique code from the metadata in the address, label barcode or pre-advice. In turn, buyers will be updated on the status of shipments 1 posted using eligible services. While sellers are still highly encouraged to upload tracking information, Royal Mail and Australia Post will pick up eBay’s “virtual” tracking number and associate it with the parcel’s ID, allowing them to upload the tracking data on the seller’s behalf, with no further effort needed. What this means is that, for the first time, sellers using Royal Mail or Australia Post services through in-scope shipping channels don’t have to worry about forgetting to upload their tracking information back to eBay. The new feature creates a unique eBay identifier - either on the shipping label itself (in Australia) or within the pre-advice and barcode data (in the U.K.) - allowing Royal Mail and Australia Post to automatically identify them in their networks as eBay packages due to the deep integrations with these carriers. following a successful rollout in Australia earlier this year. This month, we are launching eBay Virtual Tracking Number (eVTN) in the U.K. and Australia to have visibility of their packages with ease and confidence. Now, eBay is making it easier for sellers and buyers in the U.K. Now I'm starting to wonder because of my issue, if this is not the new standard. We are committed to helping customers around the world get exactly what they want, when they want it. I've just been thinking that the sellers get busy and it takes them a bit to mail stuff. I have noticed the past couple of weeks or so that when I have bought something on Ebay that for a couple of days after my purchase, it only shows that a label has been printed. I guess, I can only count on the destination Post Office bothering to scan them into the system before they go out for delivery, or I'll just have to hope that my buyers honestly let me know if they got their games. Boy I hope I'm not going to have to return all that money and lose my games too. I had never had a problem before so I don't have that receipt. Yesterday, I did just drop them off with the clerk at the counter because they were really busy. Its only the ones that I'm printing via Ebay that are having problems. I paid for that package at the counter (as opposed to online), and it immediately updated the tracking and showed that it departed the Post Office yesterday afternoon. Oddly enough, I sent a package yesterday to a member on this site (part of a trade). I actually got a receipt for the one today after my problems on Tuesday, but the tracking number still shows that I printed the label at 7:30 tonight (which is 6 hours into the future from when I really printed it). I would greatly appreciate it!! This was my first sell on Ebay in quite a while, so if its something that is normal, please let me know that as well. If anyone can share some light on this, or put my mind at ease that this is happening fairly often with Ebay. It showed my shipping label was created at 7:30pm. Has anyone else been encountering stuff like this lately? Just today, I dropped off a package at 1:30pm, got a receipt from the Post Office, then went home to check the tracking. Now, I have heard others mention something like it in the past, where a whole bunch of stuff basically gets taken in at one time and then the individual packages don't update until they get to their destination. The update still only shows Shipping Label Printed. I live in Middle Tennessee (just west of Nashville), and I had a package mailed out for Knoxville, TN 2 days ago. Then, later that day, the tracking number updates only say "Shipping Label Created" and they say the labels were created anywhere from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. I drop off all my packages at the Post Office at around 1:00pm (cst). I print my shipping labels via Ebay and pay for them with Paypal. Have you recently seen some weird issues with shipping via Media Mail? Here's the problem I've been having. Hey everyone! I'm not sure if this is the best place for this, but I wasn't sure where else to post it.
